I will be visiting Christmas markets in Europe for the first time. My itinerary includes the Czech Republic and Germany. I hope this itinerary provides you with some inspiration or ideas for your own visit to the Christmas markets in Europe.

Christmas Travel: Day 2 - Christmas Market

Today, you’ll be visiting Christmas Market around Prague. Fun indeed!

Note: When I visited Prague in December, it was really cold! You definitely need to wear a warm jacket and clothes!

Christmas Travel: Day 3 - Dresden, Germany

Today, you’ll be taking a train to Dresden from Prague. The train ride usually takes just over 2 hours. You’ll be spending 2 nights in Dresden.

Today, you’ll be be exploring Christmas market around Dresden. Fun indeed!

Christmas Travel: Day 5 - Nuremberg, Germany

Today, you’ll be taking a train to Nuremberg from Dresden . The train ride usually takes just over 3 hours amd 30 minutes. You’ll be spending 3 nights in Nuremberg.

Christmas Travel: Day 6 and 7 - Nuremberg, Germany

Over the next two days, you’ll be exploring Nuremberg and visiting the Christmas Market. It’ll be fun for sure!

Today, you’ll be taking a train to Munich from Nuremberg. The train ride will takes about over 1 hour. You’ll be spending 3 nights in Munich.

Today you’ll be exploring Munich, visiting Nymphenburg Palace, Allianz Arena (home of Bayern Munich), the Toy Museum, and more.

Christmas Travel: Day 10 - Christmas Market

It’s your last day in Munich! You’ll visit the Christmas Market and enjoy anything else you want to do.

Final thought

I enjoyed my time visiting the Christmas markets in Prague and in a few German cities. I hope to visit Germany again, but in the summer instead. I’d like to rent a car and explore more of the country!
